Pali Bhupinder Singh is a prominent figure in Punjabi literature, particularly known for his work as a playwright and theater director. He has written over 40 full-length and short plays that are distinguished by their unique style, innovative theatrical techniques, and sharp satire. His plays have been translated into Hindi, Urdu, Marathi, and Sanskrit, and have been performed both in India and abroad, including in Canada and Pakistan.

Beyond the stage, Singh has also made his mark in other literary forms and media. He has written a long poem in the Brechtian style, titled Aam Aadmi Di Vaar, and the satirical novel Kissa Rocky Reshma (The Tale of Rocky Reshma). In addition to his literary and theater work, he has also written for television and films, and made his Pollywood debut as a writer and director with the films Stupid 7 & Gurmukh.

His contributions to Punjabi theater have earned him several prestigious awards, including the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award for playwriting. He is also recognized as a theater scholar and has prepared ‘Punjab Nat-Kosh’.
